Healthy Breakfast/Snack: Banana + Acai Swirl Bowl
8:33 PM
The obsession with breakfast recipes is REAL!
I'm usually so pumped up for breakfast that I think about what to eat for breakfast the next day 24 hours in advance (I told you - I'm a little crazy about breakfasts).
In any case, I wanted to try out the swirl smoothie bowls ever since I saw it on Instagram - because face it, is this not the most Instagram-worthy thing? I've a mind to try out other variations (maybe a rainbow coloured one?) so, be prepared for them!
Now, enough of my raving, let's jump into the recipe:

In any case, I wanted to try out the swirl smoothie bowls ever since I saw it on Instagram - because face it, is this not the most Instagram-worthy thing? I've a mind to try out other variations (maybe a rainbow coloured one?) so, be prepared for them!
Now, enough of my raving, let's jump into the recipe:
Ingredients (1 serving):
Batch 1:
1. 1 frozen banana
2. 140g of honey flavoured greek yogurt (you can use an unsweetened/flavoured one)
Batch 2:
1. 1 frozen banana
2. 1 acai pack (I used the Sambazon one)
3. 2 tablespoon soy milk (you can use almond milk, coconut milk or any liquid of your choice)
Toppings (optional):
1. Raw cacao nibs
2. Shredded coconut
Steps:
1. Blend Batch 1 ingredients
2. Transfer the blended mix into a bowl
3. Clean your blender and then blend Batch 2 ingredients
4. Slowly pour blended mix from Batch 2 into the same bowl. Distribute it well and then swirl both mixes together in the bowl. DO NOT over-mix them, else you'd have a blended mixture instead of swirls
5. Add toppings
I will have to say that this definitely requires some practice because it's not as easy as it seems!
But I'm pretty pleased with my first attempt :)
If the instructions were confusing, you might want to check it out in my 'What I Eat In A Day' video on my YouTube channel. I filmed it down when I made this for my breakfast:
I hope you give this a try and let me know if you liked it!
I appreciate any and all feedback(s) you have :)
Till Next Time,
Rachelle
