Healthy Breakfast/Snack: Berry Smoothie Bowl
7:41 AM
Hey friend! Welcome back!
I'm here with yet another breakfast idea for you - are you ready? Here we go!
I've been head over heels for these smoothie bowls over the past couple of years and it's no wonder! They're so easy to make and soooooo delicious! The reason why it's called a 'smoothie bowl' instead of just the good ol' smoothie is due to the minimal liquid content!
You can play with all kinds of combination but I find that bananas are usually the constant to get the creamy consistency. In this case, I used frozen berries to balance out the sweetness from bananas but you can try this with so many different other fruits!
*Tip: Use ripe or even over-riped bananas for a sweeter taste!

Ingredients (1 serving):
1. 1 cup frozen berries
2. 1 medium sized frozen banana
3. 1/4 cup almond milk/coconut water
4. Optional: 1 tablespoon peanut butter/almond butter
5: Toppings: Shredded coconut (I used the Bob's Red Mill Unsweetened Shredded Coconut)
6. Toppings: Raw cacao nibs (I used the Big Tree Farms Raw Cacao Nibs)
Steps:
1. Put the frozen berries, banana, almond milk/coconut water and peanut butter/almond butter into the blender
2. Blend thoroughly for a few minutes
* Ta da! You're done!
3. Add desired toppings
How easy is that? If you're looking for a fuss-free recipe for your daily breakfast, look no further because I seriously don't think anything can beat this!
I hope you give this a try and I would love to hear what you think! :)
